(1) A business trust shall register with the division before doing business in the state.

Terms Used In Utah Code 16-15-104

  • Division: means the Division of Corporations and Commercial Code. See Utah Code 16-15-102
  • Signature: includes a name, mark, or sign written with the intent to authenticate an instrument or writing. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) The certificate of registration of a business trust shall set forth:

     (2)(a) the name of the business trust;
     (2)(b) the period of its duration;
     (2)(c) the business purpose for which the business trust is organized;
     (2)(d) the information required by Subsection 16-17-203(1); and
     (2)(e) the name, signature, and street address of all trustees of the business trust.
