(1) While performing a duty described in Section 17-25-1, a constable shall prominently display a badge or other visible form of credentials and identification identifying:

- Person: means :(24)(a) an individual;(24)(b) an association;(24)(c) an institution;(24)(d) a corporation;(24)(e) a company;(24)(f) a trust;(24)(g) a limited liability company;(24)(h) a partnership;(24)(i) a political subdivision;(24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and(24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Process: means a writ or summons issued in the course of a judicial proceeding. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(1)(a) a person as a constable;(1)(b) the person’s name; and(1)(c) the county or municipality for which the constable is appointed.
(2) If a constable serves process, the constable shall:
(2)(a) verbally communicate to the person being served that the constable is a constable; and
(2)(b) print on the first page of each document served:
(2)(b)(i) the constable’s name and identification as a constable;
(2)(b)(ii) the county or municipality for which the constable is appointed; and
(2)(b)(iii) a business phone number for the constable.
(3) If a constable wears a uniform, the uniform shall be clearly marked with the word “constable” on the uniform shirt and, if applicable, the jacket.
