(1) A nonresident 12 years old or older may participate in a falconry meet in this state upon payment of a fee prescribed by the Wildlife Board.

Terms Used In Utah Code 23A-4-802

  • Game: means wildlife normally pursued, caught, or taken by sporting means for human use. See Utah Code 23A-1-101
  • Nonresident: means a person who does not qualify as a resident. See Utah Code 23A-1-101
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
  • Wildlife: means :
         (61)(a) crustaceans, including brine shrimp and crayfish;
         (61)(b) mollusks; and
         (61)(c) vertebrate animals living in nature, except feral animals. See Utah Code 23A-1-101

     (2)(a) A nonresident falconry meet license is valid only for five consecutive days, the dates to be designated on the license.
     (2)(b) The holder of the license may engage in the sport of falconry on nongame wildlife species and small game species during the specified five-day period.
