(1) There is created a Medical Education Program to be administered by UMEC in cooperation with the Division of Finance.
Terms Used In Utah Code 26B-4-707
- Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services: means the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services within the United States Department of Health and Human Services. See Utah Code 26B-4-701
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- UMEC: means the Utah Medical Education Council created in Section
26B-4-706 . See Utah Code 26B-4-701
(2) The program shall be funded from money received for graduate medical education from:
(2)(a) the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or other federal agency;
(2)(b) state appropriations; and
(2)(c) donation or private contributions.
(3) All funding for this program shall be nonlapsing.
(4) Program money may only be expended if:
(4)(a) approved by UMEC; and
(4)(b) used for graduate medical education in accordance with Subsection 26B-4-708(4).
