(1) Requests for records maintained by Adult Protective Services shall be made in writing to Adult Protective Services.
Terms Used In Utah Code 26B-6-209
- Adult: means an individual who is 18 years old or older. See Utah Code 26B-6-201
- Adult Protective Services: means the unit within the division responsible to investigate abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable adults and provide appropriate protective services. See Utah Code 26B-6-201
- Protective services: means services to protect a vulnerable adult from abuse, neglect, or exploitation. See Utah Code 26B-6-201
- Writing: includes :(48)(a) printing;(48)(b) handwriting; and(48)(c) information stored in an electronic or other medium if the information is retrievable in a perceivable format. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) Classification and disclosure of records shall be made in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 2, Government Records Access and Management Act.
