As used in this part:

(1) “Authorized person” means a person authorized by law to sell or otherwise handle an alcoholic product.

Terms Used In Utah Code 32B-1-402

  • Alcoholic product: includes an alcoholic beverage. See Utah Code 32B-1-102
  • Minor: means an individual under 21 years old. See Utah Code 32B-1-102
  • Person: means :
         (24)(a) an individual;
         (24)(b) an association;
         (24)(c) an institution;
         (24)(d) a corporation;
         (24)(e) a company;
         (24)(f) a trust;
         (24)(g) a limited liability company;
         (24)(h) a partnership;
         (24)(i) a political subdivision;
         (24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and
         (24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) “Restricted area” means a place where an alcoholic product is sold or consumed, but where under this title a minor is not permitted.
(3) “Statement of age” means a statement signed under Section 32B-1-405 verifying the age of the person signing the statement.
