With consent of the minor‘s parent, guardian, or custodian, no specific age limitations or restrictions are imposed and the restrictions described in Section
(1) home chores and other work done for parent or guardian;
Terms Used In Utah Code 34-23-207
- Division: means the Division of Antidiscrimination and Labor in the commission. See Utah Code 34-23-103
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
- Guardian: includes a person who:(14)(a) qualifies as a guardian of a minor or incapacitated person pursuant to testamentary or court appointment; or(14)(b) is appointed by a court to manage the estate of a minor or incapacitated person. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Hazardous agricultural occupation: means any occupation defined as hazardous by the United States Department of Labor under Utah Code 34-23-103
- Minor: means an individual under 18 years old. See Utah Code 34-23-103
(2) any casual work not determined harmful by the division;(3) an agricultural occupation that is not a hazardous agricultural occupation;(4) acting or performing in:(4)(a) a motion picture;(4)(b) a theatrical production;(4)(c) a performing arts production;(4)(d) a radio broadcast; or(4)(e) a television production; or(5) work for which a specific, written authorization has been made by the division.
