(1) The steering committee shall develop a formula for the distribution of funds for the provision of homeless services.
Terms Used In Utah Code 35A-16-211
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Office: means the Office of Homeless Services. See Utah Code 35A-16-102
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Steering committee: means the Utah Homeless Network Steering Committee created in Section
35A-16-206 . See Utah Code 35A-16-102 - Strategic plan: means the statewide strategic plan to minimize homelessness in the state described in Subsection
35A-16-203 (1)(c). See Utah Code 35A-16-102
(2) A formula for the distribution of funds for the provision of homeless services shall:
(2)(a) take into consideration:
(2)(a)(i) the various needs of regions of the state;
(2)(a)(ii) metrics and evidence of success;
(2)(a)(iii) the goals outlined in the strategic plan; and
(2)(a)(iv) any other factor the steering committee considers necessary; and
(2)(b) utilize objective metrics to ensure, as much as possible, an impartial result.
(3) A funding formula described in this section applies to federal funds received by the office for the provision of homeless services only insofar as any federal regulations governing those federal funds allow.
