(1) There is created an expendable special revenue fund known as the National Guard MWR Fund.
Terms Used In Utah Code 39A-7-105
- Adjutant general: means the commanding general of the Utah National Guard as appointed by the governor under Section 39A-1-201. See Utah Code 39A-1-102
- National Guard: means the Utah National Guard created in Section 39A-3-101 and in accordance with Utah Constitution Article XV. See Utah Code 39A-1-102
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) The fund shall consist of:
(2)(a) all proceeds collected under this chapter;
(2)(b) donations made to the National Guard MWR Program; and
(2)(c) any appropriations to the program by the Legislature.
(3) Money from the fund shall be used for the enhancement of morale, welfare, and recreation, and the administration of the program under this chapter, including paying the costs of:
(3)(a) salaries of program employees;
(3)(b) public liability insurance, when needed;
(3)(c) the adjutant general‘s Outreach Program;
(3)(d) the State Partnership Program; and
(3)(e) any other expenses considered necessary in furtherance of the program by the adjutant general or the adjutant general’s designee.
