(1) The presiding officer of the public body shall ensure that the members of the public body are provided with annual training on the requirements of this chapter.
Terms Used In Utah Code 52-4-104
- Presiding officer: A majority-party Senator who presides over the Senate and is charged with maintaining order and decorum, recognizing Members to speak, and interpreting the Senate's rules, practices and precedents.
- Public body: includes :(7)(b)(i) an interlocal entity or joint or cooperative undertaking, as those terms are defined in Section
11-13-103 , except for the Water District Water Development Council created pursuant to Section11-13-228 ;(7)(b)(ii) a governmental nonprofit corporation as that term is defined in Section11-13a-102 ;(7)(b)(iii) the Utah Independent Redistricting Commission; and(7)(b)(iv) a project entity, as that term is defined in Section11-13-103 . See Utah Code 52-4-103- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) The presiding officer shall ensure that any training described in Subsection (1) complies with Title 63G, Chapter 22, State Training and Certification Requirements.
