(1) The bureau shall, after receiving recommendations under Subsection (2), establish maximum rates for ground ambulance providers and paramedic providers that are just and reasonable.
Terms Used In Utah Code 53-2d-503
- Ambulance: means a ground, air, or water vehicle that:(2)(a) transports patients and is used to provide emergency medical services; and(2)(b) is required to obtain a permit under Section
53-2d-404 to operate in the state. See Utah Code 53-2d-101- Bureau: means the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services created in Section
53-2d-102 . See Utah Code 53-2d-101- Committee: means the Trauma System and Emergency Medical Services Committee created by Section
53-2d-104 . See Utah Code 53-2d-101- Patient: means an individual who, as the result of illness, injury, or a behavioral emergency condition, meets any of the criteria in Section
