(1) A person may not sell or offer for sale any fire hose, fire hydrant, fire engine, or other equipment with threaded parts unless the equipment is fitted and equipped with the threads designated as national standard and adopted by the board and designated by law as the standard of the equipment in the state.

- Board: means the Utah Fire Prevention Board created in Section
53-7-203 , except as provided inPart 3, Liquefied Petroleum Gas Act . See Utah Code 53-7-102 - Person: means :(24)(a) an individual;(24)(b) an association;(24)(c) an institution;(24)(d) a corporation;(24)(e) a company;(24)(f) a trust;(24)(g) a limited liability company;(24)(h) a partnership;(24)(i) a political subdivision;(24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and(24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) Subsection(1) does not apply to:(2)(a) equipment sold or offered for sale to a local governing body for the purposes of maintaining, repairing, replacing, or extending existing fire protection equipment as provided in Section11-4-2 ; and(2)(b) adapters and caps for fire protective purposes.
