(1) At least annually, the director shall report in person to the Legislative Management Committee, the governor, and the advocacy office, concerning the office‘s investments, performance, estimated distributions, and other activities.
Terms Used In Utah Code 53D-1-403
- advocacy office: means the Land Trusts Protection and Advocacy Office created in Section 53D-2-201. See Utah Code 53D-1-102
- Advocacy office director: means the director of the Land Trusts Protection and Advocacy Office, appointed under Section 53D-2-203. See Utah Code 53D-1-102
- Board: means the board of trustees established in Section 53D-1-301. See Utah Code 53D-1-102
- Director: means the director of the office. See Utah Code 53D-1-102
- Land: includes :(18)(a) land;(18)(b) a tenement;(18)(c) a hereditament;(18)(d) a water right;(18)(e) a possessory right; and(18)(f) a claim. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Office: means the School and Institutional Trust Fund Office, created in Section 53D-1-201. See Utah Code 53D-1-102
- Person: means :
(24)(a) an individual;(24)(b) an association;(24)(c) an institution;(24)(d) a corporation;(24)(e) a company;(24)(f) a trust;(24)(g) a limited liability company;(24)(h) a partnership;(24)(i) a political subdivision;(24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and(24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5(2) The director shall report to the board concerning the work of the director and the investment activities and other activities of the office:(2)(a) in a public meeting at least six times per year; and(2)(b) as otherwise requested by the board.(3)(3)(a) Before November 1 of each year, the director shall:(3)(a)(i) submit a written report to school community councils, created under Section 53G-7-1202, and charter trust land councils, established under Section 53G-7-1205, concerning the office’s investments, performance, estimated distributions, and other activities; and(3)(a)(ii) post the written report described in Subsection (3)(a)(i) on the office’s website.(3)(b) A report under Subsection (3)(a) shall be prepared in simple language designed to be understood by the general public.(4) The director shall provide to the board:(4)(a) monthly written reports on the activities of the office;(4)(b) quarterly financial reports; and(4)(c) any other report requested by the board.(5) The director shall:(5)(a) invite the advocacy office director to attend any meeting at which the director gives a report under this section; and(5)(b) provide the advocacy office director:(5)(b)(i) a copy of any written report prepared under this section; and(5)(b)(ii) any other report requested by the advocacy office director.
