(1) On or before July 31 of each year, a charter school may identify and report to the State Charter School Board the charter school’s innovative practices which fulfill the purposes of charter schools as described in Section 53G-5-104, including:

  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
     (1)(a) unique learning opportunities providing increased choice in education;
     (1)(b) new public school models;
     (1)(c) innovative teaching practices;
     (1)(d) opportunities for educators to actively participate in the design and implementation of the learning program;
     (1)(e) new forms of accountability emphasizing measurement tools in measuring education outcomes;
     (1)(f) opportunities for greater parental involvement, including involvement in governance decisions; and
     (1)(g) the impact of the innovative practices on student achievement.
(2) The State Charter School Board may forward the report received under Subsection (1) to the state board.
