(1) The commission may promulgate administrative rules as necessary to enforce the provisions of this part.
Terms Used In Utah Code 59-14-607
- Commission: means the State Tax Commission as defined in Section
59-1-101 . See Utah Code 59-14-601 - Escrow: Money given to a third party to be held for payment until certain conditions are met.
- Service of process: The service of writs or summonses to the appropriate party.
- Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
(2) The rules authorized by this part include rules:
(2)(a) to verify information concerning the escrow deposits required by Section 59-14-602 ;
(2)(b) regarding the production of information sufficient to enable the commission to determine the adequacy of the amount of the installment deposit required by this part;
(2)(c) regarding the certification required by Section 59-14-602 ;
(2)(d) necessary to receive and publish information for the directory required by Section 59-14-603 ;
(2)(e) regarding the notification requirements for the appointment of an agent for service of process in Section 59-14-605 ;
(2)(f) for reporting by stamping agents or manufacturers of tobacco products under Section 59-14-606 ; and
(2)(g) as authorized by this part or the Master Settlement Agreement.
