(1) The division shall maintain a central index of all lands owned by agencies of the Department of Natural Resources and shall make that index available for the public.

Terms Used In Utah Code 65A-4-2

  • Division: means the Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands. See Utah Code 65A-1-1
  • Grantor: The person who establishes a trust and places property into it.
  • Land: includes :
         (18)(a) land;
         (18)(b) a tenement;
         (18)(c) a hereditament;
         (18)(d) a water right;
         (18)(e) a possessory right; and
         (18)(f) a claim. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
  • Property: includes both real and personal property. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) All agencies of the Department of Natural Resources having any right, title, or interest in lands shall furnish the division with the following information:

     (2)(a) legal description of the land;
     (2)(b) when the land was acquired;
     (2)(c) where the abstracts, deeds, or other indicia of interest in the property may be found;
     (2)(d) name of agency acquiring or holding the mineral interest;
     (2)(e) name of the grantor; and
     (2)(f) nature of state‘s interest in the land including whether mineral interests were obtained.
(3) This section does not apply to Board of Water Resources lands that are subject to a repurchase agreement by the water project sponsor.
