(1) The division shall maintain a central index of all lands owned by agencies of the Department of Natural Resources and shall make that index available for the public.
Terms Used In Utah Code 65A-4-2
- Division: means the Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands. See Utah Code 65A-1-1
- Grantor: The person who establishes a trust and places property into it.
- Land: includes :(18)(a) land;(18)(b) a tenement;(18)(c) a hereditament;(18)(d) a water right;(18)(e) a possessory right; and(18)(f) a claim. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Property: includes both real and personal property. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) All agencies of the Department of Natural Resources having any right, title, or interest in lands shall furnish the division with the following information:(2)(a) legal description of the land;(2)(b) when the land was acquired;(2)(c) where the abstracts, deeds, or other indicia of interest in the property may be found;(2)(d) name of agency acquiring or holding the mineral interest;(2)(e) name of the grantor; and(2)(f) nature of state‘s interest in the land including whether mineral interests were obtained.(3) This section does not apply to Board of Water Resources lands that are subject to a repurchase agreement by the water project sponsor.
