(1) There is established the Pioneer Trail Memorial Highway comprising the existing highways beginning at the junction of Route 84 and Route 65 and proceeding southwesterly on Route 65 to the junction of Route 65 and Emigration Canyon Road; then beginning again in Salt Lake City at the junction of Route 186 and Sunnyside Avenue and proceeding westerly on Route 186 to Interstate Route 15.

- City: includes , depending on population, a metro township as defined in Section
10-3c-102 . See Utah Code 68-3-12.5 - Department: means the Department of Transportation created in Section 72-1-201. See Utah Code 72-1-102
- Highway: means any public road, street, alley, lane, court, place, viaduct, tunnel, culvert, bridge, or structure laid out or erected for public use, or dedicated or abandoned to the public, or made public in an action for the partition of real property, including the entire area within the right-of-way. See Utah Code 72-1-102
- Road: includes :(33)(a) a public bridge;(33)(b) a county way;(33)(c) a county road;(33)(d) a common road; and(33)(e) a state road. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- State highway: means those highways designated as state highways in Title 72, Chapter 4, Designation of State Highways Act. See Utah Code 72-1-102
(2) In addition to other official designations, the Department of Transportation shall designate the portions of the highway identified in Subsection(1) as the Pioneer Trail Memorial Highway on future state highway maps.
