Utah Code 73-2-2. Oath

(1) Before entering upon the duties of the office, the state engineer shall take and subscribe the constitutional oath of office.

Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
Oath: includes "affirmation. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5

(2) The state engineer shall file the oath with the Division of Archives.
