Terms Used In Utah Code 76-10-509.7

  • Dangerous weapon: means :
              (6)(a)(i) a firearm; or
              (6)(a)(ii) an object that in the manner of its use or intended use is capable of causing death or serious bodily injury. See Utah Code 76-10-501

     Any parent or guardian of a minor who knows that the minor is in possession of a dangerous weapon in violation of Section76-10-509.4 and fails to make reasonable efforts to remove the dangerous weapon from the minor’s possession is guilty of a class B misdemeanor.
