Terms Used In Utah Code 77-7-26
- Person: means :(24)(a) an individual;(24)(b) an association;(24)(c) an institution;(24)(d) a corporation;(24)(e) a company;(24)(f) a trust;(24)(g) a limited liability company;(24)(h) a partnership;(24)(i) a political subdivision;(24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and(24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5(1)(a) It is unlawful and official misconduct for any peace officer or other officer or public employee to dispose of:(1)(a)(i) a notice to appear; or(1)(a)(ii) traffic citation.(1)(b) The provisions of Subsection
(1)(a) do not apply if the disposal is done with the consent of the magistrate before whom the arrested person was to appear.
(2) A person who cancels or solicits the cancellation of a notice to appear or a traffic citation, in any manner other than as provided by law, is guilty of a class B misdemeanor.
