Any person interested as or through an executor, administrator, trustee, guardian, or other fiduciary, creditor, devisee, legatee, heir, next of kin, or cestui que trust, in the administration of a trust, or of the estate of a decedent, an infant, lunatic, or insolvent, may petition the court for a declaratory judgment:
(1) to ascertain any class of creditors, devisees, legatees, heirs, next of kin, or others;

- Administrator: includes "executor" when the subject matter justifies the use. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Decedent: A deceased person.
- Fiduciary: A trustee, executor, or administrator.
- Legatee: A beneficiary of a decedent
- Person: means :(24)(a) an individual;(24)(b) an association;(24)(c) an institution;(24)(d) a corporation;(24)(e) a company;(24)(f) a trust;(24)(g) a limited liability company;(24)(h) a partnership;(24)(i) a political subdivision;(24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and(24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
(2) to direct the executors, administrators, or trustees to do or abstain from doing any particular act in their fiduciary capacity; or(3) to determine any question arising in the administration of the estate or trust, including questions of construction of wills and other writings.
