Terms Used In Utah Code 78B-6-851
- Eviction: means a cause of action for unlawful detainer under Part 8, Forcible Entry and Detainer. See Utah Code 78B-6-850
- Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
All parties to an eviction may stipulate in a settlement agreement to the expungement of an eviction.
