Utah Code 78B-7-407. Penalties

Under the Utah Code, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:

Class	Prison	Fine
class A misdemeanor	up to 364 days	up to $2,500

Protective order: means :
(3)(a) a dating violence protective order; or
(3)(b) an ex parte dating violence protective order. See Utah Code 78B-7-402

A violation of a protective order issued under this part is a class A misdemeanor.
