Terms Used In Utah Code 79-7-503

  • Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
  • Division: means the Division of Outdoor Recreation. See Utah Code 79-7-102
  • Initiative: means the Recreation Coordinated Investment Initiative created in Section 79-7-502. See Utah Code 79-7-501
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
     (1)(a) appropriations made to the initiative by the Legislature, including any appropriation from the Outdoor Adventure Infrastructure Restricted Account created in Section 51-9-902; and
     (1)(b) contributions, including in-kind assistance, from public and private sources, including a federal agency, state agency, local government, or private entity.
(2) The division may reimburse itself with initiative funds for costs related to administering the initiative.
