- Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
- Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
- Authority: means the State Fair Park Authority, created in Section 11-68-201. See Utah Code 11-68-101
- Board: means the authority board, created in Section 11-68-301. See Utah Code 11-68-101
- Capital development projects: means the same as that term is defined in Section 63A-5b-401. See Utah Code 11-68-101
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Development: means :(5)(a) the demolition, construction, reconstruction, modification, expansion, or improvement of a building, utility, infrastructure, landscape, parking lot, park, trail, recreational amenity, or other facility; and(5)(b) the planning of, arranging for, or participation in any of the activities listed in Subsection (5)(a). See Utah Code 11-68-101
- Division: means the Division of Corporations and Commercial Code. See Utah Code 16-15-102
- Division: means the Division of Facilities Construction and Management created in Section 63A-5b-301. See Utah Code 11-68-101
- Equal: means , with respect to biological sex, of the same value. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Fair corporation: means the Utah State Fair Corporation, created by
Laws of Utah 1995, Chapter 260 . See Utah Code 11-68-101- Fair park land: includes any land acquired by the authority under Subsection 11-68-201(6)(i). See Utah Code 11-68-101
- Land: includes :
(18)(a) land;(18)(b) a tenement;(18)(c) a hereditament;(18)(d) a water right;(18)(e) a possessory right; and(18)(f) a claim. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
- Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- Person: means an individual, general partnership, limited liability partnership, limited partnership, limited liability company, limited association, domestic or foreign trust, estate, association, or corporation. See Utah Code 16-15-102
- Property: includes both real and personal property. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
- United States: includes each state, district, and territory of the United States of America. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
