- Capacity building: means strengthening an individual's or a community's ability to participate in shared decision making. See Utah Code 26B-2-501
- Community health worker: means an individual who:(2)(a) works to improve a social determinant of health;(2)(b) acts as an intermediary between a community and health services or social services to:(2)(b)(i) facilitate access to services; or(2)(b)(ii) improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery; and(2)(c) increases health knowledge and self-sufficiency of an individual or a community through outreach, capacity building, community education, informal counseling, social support, and other similar activities. See Utah Code 26B-2-501
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Core-skill training: means :
(4)(a) 90 hours of competency-based education; and(4)(b) 300 hours of community involvement as determined by the department through rule. See Utah Code 26B-2-501- Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
- Person: means :
(24)(a) an individual;(24)(b) an association;(24)(c) an institution;(24)(d) a corporation;(24)(e) a company;(24)(f) a trust;(24)(g) a limited liability company;(24)(h) a partnership;(24)(i) a political subdivision;(24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and(24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5- Plaintiff: The person who files the complaint in a civil lawsuit.
- Property: includes both real and personal property. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- State certified: means that an individual has obtained the state certification described in Subsection 26B-2-504(1). See Utah Code 26B-2-501
- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
- United States: includes each state, district, and territory of the United States of America. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
