Terms Used In Utah Code > Title 53D > Chapter 1 > Part 6 - Management and Investment Standards and Principles
- Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
- Board: means the board of trustees established in Section 53D-1-301. See Utah Code 53D-1-102
- Director: means the director of the office. See Utah Code 53D-1-102
- Office: means the School and Institutional Trust Fund Office, created in Section 53D-1-201. See Utah Code 53D-1-102
- Person: means :(24)(a) an individual;(24)(b) an association;(24)(c) an institution;(24)(d) a corporation;(24)(e) a company;(24)(f) a trust;(24)(g) a limited liability company;(24)(h) a partnership;(24)(i) a political subdivision;(24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and(24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Property: includes both real and personal property. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Trust fund: means money derived from:
(10)(a) the sale or use of land granted to the state under Sections 6, 8, and 12 of the enabling act;(10)(b) proceeds referred to in Section 9 of the enabling act from the sale of public land; and(10)(c) revenue and assets referred to in Utah Constitution, Article X, Section 5, Subsections(1)(c) ,(e) , and(f) .
