Terms Used In Utah Code > Title 79 > Chapter 5 > Part 1 - General Provisions

  • Committee: means the Utah Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Advisory Committee created in Section 79-7-206. See Utah Code 79-5-102
  • Division: means the Division of Outdoor Recreation. See Utah Code 79-5-102
  • Land: includes :
         (18)(a) land;
         (18)(b) a tenement;
         (18)(c) a hereditament;
         (18)(d) a water right;
         (18)(e) a possessory right; and
         (18)(f) a claim. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
  • trail: means a multi-use path used for:
         (3)(a) muscle-powered activities, including:
              (3)(a)(i) bicycling;
              (3)(a)(ii) cross-country skiing;
              (3)(a)(iii) walking;
              (3)(a)(iv) jogging; and
              (3)(a)(v) horseback riding; and
         (3)(b) uses compatible with the uses described in Subsection (3)(a), including the use of an electric assisted bicycle or motor assisted scooter, as defined in Section 41-6a-102. See Utah Code 79-5-102
