- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
§ 3204. Supplemental principles of law
(a) Unless displaced by particular provisions of this chapter, the principles of law and equity supplement this chapter.
(b) If an obligation to pay interest arises under this chapter and the rate is not specified, the rate shall be determined pursuant to 9 V.S.A. § 41a(a). (Added 1997, No. 149 (Adj. Sess.), § 1, eff. Jan. 1, 1999.)
