Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 11 Sec. 3483
- Fees: shall mean earnings due for official services, aside from salaries or per diem compensation. See
- Month: shall mean a calendar month and "year" shall mean a calendar year and be equivalent to the expression "year of our Lord. See
- Person: means a natural person, partnership, limited partnership (domestic or foreign), trust, estate, association, corporation, or limited liability company. See
- State: means a state, territory, or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See
§ 3483. Issuance of registration
(a) If the Secretary of State finds that an application for registration conforms to law and all requisite fees have been paid, he or she shall:
(1) endorse on the application the word “Filed,” and the month, day, and year of the filing thereof;
(2) file in his or her office a duplicate original of the application; and
(3) issue a certificate of registration to transact business in this State.
(b) The certificate of registration, together with a duplicate original of the application, shall be returned to the person who filed the application or his or her representative. (Added 1997, No. 149 (Adj. Sess.), § 4, eff. Jan. 1, 1999.)
