- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See
§ 997. Fee
For filing a certificate of organization, an association shall pay $20.00 to the Secretary of State, and for filing an amendment thereto, $10.00. (Amended 1963, No. 37, § 4; 1967, No. 278 (Adj. Sess.), § 7.)
