- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
§ 3156. Mode of trial; costs
Either party may have the facts tried by jury or commissioner, as in other causes. Costs shall be allowed between the parties as the court deems just.
