Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 13 Sec. 2655

  • Commercial sex act: means any sexual act, sexual conduct, or sexually explicit performance on account of which anything of value is promised to, given to, or received by any person. See
  • Human trafficking: means :

  • Person: shall include any natural person, corporation, municipality, the State of Vermont or any department, agency, or subdivision of the State, and any partnership, unincorporated association, or other legal entity. See

§ 2655. Solicitation

(a) No person shall knowingly solicit a commercial sex act from a victim of human trafficking.

(b) A person who violates this section shall be imprisoned not more than five years or fined not more than $100,000.00, or both. (Added 2011, No. 55, § 2.)
