Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 13 Sec. 7135

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

§ 7135. Appeals

An appeal may be taken to the Supreme Court from the order entered on the motion. (Added 1966, No. 41 (Sp. Sess.), § 1(e), eff. March 12, 1966.)
