Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 13 Sec. 7610
- Court: means the Criminal Division of the Superior Court. See
- Criminal history record: means all information documenting an individual's contact with the criminal justice system, including data regarding identification, arrest or citation, arraignment, judicial disposition, custody, and supervision. See
- Fees: shall mean earnings due for official services, aside from salaries or per diem compensation. See
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- seal: shall include an impression of the official seal made upon paper alone or by means of a wafer or wax affixed thereto. See
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See
§ 7610. Criminal history record sealing special fund
There is established the Criminal History Record Sealing Special Fund, which shall be managed in accordance with 32 Vt. Stat. Ann. chapter 7, subchapter 5. Fees collected pursuant to 32 V.S.A. § 1431(e) for the filing of a petition to seal a criminal history record of a violation of 23 V.S.A. § 1201(a) shall be deposited into and credited to this Fund. This Fund shall be available to the Office of the Court Administrator, the Department of State‘s Attorneys and Sheriffs, the Department of Motor Vehicles, and the Vermont Crime Information Center to offset the administrative costs of sealing such records. Balances in the Fund at the end of the fiscal year shall be carried forward and remain in the Fund. (Added 2019, No. 32, § 7.)
