Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 16 Sec. 2188

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See

§ 2188. Property transactions

Any sale, lease, demolition, or disposal of property by the Vermont State Colleges Corporation shall comply with the requirements of 32 V.S.A. § 962. (Added 2021, No. 74, § E.602.1.)
