Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 16 Sec. 3742
- Person: shall include any natural person, corporation, municipality, the State of Vermont or any department, agency, or subdivision of the State, and any partnership, unincorporated association, or other legal entity. See
- Public school: means an elementary school or secondary school operated by a school district. See
- School district: means town school districts, union school districts, interstate school districts, city school districts, unified union districts, and incorporated school districts, each of which is governed by a publicly elected board. See
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See
§ 3742. Flag display
Each school district shall erect a flag pole on the building or premises of each public school and, while school is in session, at such times as it directs, shall cause a United States flag, which shall not be lettered or marked in any way, to be displayed. A United States flag and a State flag may be displayed inside the school building. A person who violates this section shall be fined not more than $10.00. (Added 2013, No. 92 (Adj.
