Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 20 Sec. 1155

  • Person: shall include any natural person, corporation, municipality, the State of Vermont or any department, agency, or subdivision of the State, and any partnership, unincorporated association, or other legal entity. See
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See

§ 1155. Military service of United States

(a) Nothing in this chapter or chapters 63 and 65 of this title shall be construed as authorizing the State Guard, or any part of it, to be called, ordered, or in any manner drafted into the U.S. Armed Forces.

(b) No person shall, by reason of his or her membership in any unit of the State Guard, be exempted from military service under any federal law. (Amended 2021, No. 10, § 59.)
