- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Person: shall include any natural person, corporation, municipality, the State of Vermont or any department, agency, or subdivision of the State, and any partnership, unincorporated association, or other legal entity. See
§ 3415. Appraisers of damages
If the owner or keeper appears, he or she may appoint one person and the impounder another to appraise such damage. If such appraisers do not agree, they may appoint a third.
