Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 24 Sec. 1243

  • following: when used by way of reference to a section of the law shall mean the next preceding or following section. See
  • town: as used in this chapter may be construed to include a city or an incorporated village. See

§ 1243. Method of voting

A town may vote at an annual or special meeting to adopt or rescind the provisions of this chapter A vote on the question shall be in substantially the following form:

“Shall the [town name] [adopt/rescind] the town manager form of governance in accordance with the provisions of chapter 37 of Title 24 of the Vermont Statutes Annotated?” (Amended 2019, No. 67, § 21.)
