- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
§ 137. Jurisdiction
Superior Courts, within their respective jurisdictions, may take cognizance of actions in favor of or against the county. (Amended 1965, No. 194, § 10, operative Feb. 1, 1967; 1973, No. 193 (Adj.
