Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 26 Sec. 641
- Board: means the Board of Dental Examiners. See
- Dental assistant: means an individual registered to practice as a dental assistant under this chapter. See
- Person: shall include any natural person, corporation, municipality, the State of Vermont or any department, agency, or subdivision of the State, and any partnership, unincorporated association, or other legal entity. See
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See
§ 641. Registration
(a) No person shall practice as a dental assistant in this State unless registered for that purpose by the Board.
(b) On a form prepared and provided by the Board, each applicant shall state, under oath, that the dental assistant shall practice only under the supervision of a dentist.
(c) The supervising dentist shall be responsible for the professional acts of dental assistants under his or her supervision. (Added 2011, No. 116 (Adj. Sess.), § 13.)
