Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 32 Sec. 508
- Person: shall include any natural person, corporation, municipality, the State of Vermont or any department, agency, or subdivision of the State, and any partnership, unincorporated association, or other legal entity. See
- State: means the State of Vermont; a county, a municipality, or other subdivision thereof; commission, board, department, or agency thereof; or any other governmental entity authorized or created by State law, including public corporations and authorities. See
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
§ 508. Receipts given by State officers
State officers, except Superior Court clerks and Superior judges, and every person in the employ of the State under salary or per diem established by statute, receiving money belonging to or for the use of the State, shall give the person paying the money a receipt for payment in the form as shall be prescribed by the State Treasurer.
