- Municipality: shall include a city, town, town school district, incorporated school or fire district or incorporated village, and all other governmental incorporated units. See
- Personal property: All property that is not real property.
- Town: shall include city and wards or precincts therein; "selectboard members" and "board of civil authority" shall extend to and include the mayor and aldermen of cities; "trustees" shall extend to and include bailiffs of incorporated villages; and the laws applicable to the inhabitants and officers of towns shall be applicable to the inhabitants and similar officers of all municipal corporations. § 5162. List of delinquent taxpayers
Annually, on or before January 15, the collector for a town or a municipality within it, shall make a list of the taxpayers of such municipality whose real and personal property taxes are unpaid as of December 31 next preceding, showing the amounts due and the years in which such taxes were due, certify under oath that such list is correct and deliver the same to the treasurer of such municipality.
