  • Special purpose financial insurance company: means a captive insurance company that has received a license from the Commissioner to operate as a special purpose financial insurance company pursuant to this subchapter. See

§ 6048g. Minimum capital and surplus

A special purpose financial insurance company shall not be issued a license unless it shall possess and thereafter maintain unimpaired paid-in capital and surplus of not less than $5,000,000.00. (Added 2007, No. 49, § 17; amended 2013, No. 29, § 58.)
