The Department is authorized to name qualified persons to a State Advisory Board on Air Pollution.
Terms Used In Virginia Code 10.1-1313
- Advisory Board: means the State Advisory Board on Air Pollution. See Virginia Code 10.1-1300
- Air pollution: means the presence in the outdoor atmosphere of one or more substances which are or may be harmful or injurious to human health, welfare or safety, to animal or plant life, or to property, or which unreasonably interfere with the enjoyment by the people of life or property. - Department: means the Department of Environmental Quality. See Virginia Code 10.1-1300
- State: when applied to a part of the United States, includes any of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the United States Virgin Islands. See Virginia Code 1-245
