To the extent expressly provided in the condominium instruments, the unit owners’ association may limit the number of persons who may occupy a unit as a dwelling. Such limitation shall be reasonable and shall comply with the provisions of applicable law, including the Virginia Fair Housing Law (§ 36-96.1 et seq.), the Uniform Statewide Building Code (§ 36-97 et seq.), and local ordinances.

Terms Used In Virginia Code 55.1-1960

  • Condominium: means real property, and any incidents to or interests in such real property, lawfully subject to this chapter by the recordation of condominium instruments pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. See Virginia Code 55.1-1900
  • Unit: means a portion of the condominium designed and intended for individual ownership and use. See Virginia Code 55.1-1900
