Any person who shall knowingly make any false statements, or shall falsify or permit to be falsified any record or records of this retirement system in any attempt to defraud the retirement system as a result of such act, shall be guilty of a gross misdemeanor.

Terms Used In Washington Code 41.40.055
- person: may be construed to include the United States, this state, or any state or territory, or any public or private corporation or limited liability company, as well as an individual. See Washington Code 1.16.080
- Retirement: means withdrawal from active service with a retirement allowance as provided by this chapter. See Washington Code 41.40.010
- Retirement system: means the public employees' retirement system provided for in this chapter. See Washington Code 41.40.010
