Any employee of the department having knowledge of a furlough infraction shall report the facts to the secretary. Upon verification, the secretary shall cause the custody of the furloughed person to be regained, and for this purpose may cause a warrant to be issued.

Terms Used In Washington Code 72.66.038
- Department: means the department of corrections. See Washington Code 72.66.010
- Furlough: means an authorized leave of absence for an eligible resident, without any requirement that the resident be accompanied by, or be in the custody of, any law enforcement or corrections official while on such leave. See Washington Code 72.66.010
- person: may be construed to include the United States, this state, or any state or territory, or any public or private corporation or limited liability company, as well as an individual. See Washington Code 1.16.080
- Secretary: means the secretary of corrections, or his or her designee or designees. See Washington Code 72.66.010
