If the taxpayer is an association or corporation, the officers thereof shall be personally liable, jointly and severally, for any default on the part of the association or corporation, and payment of the tax and any additions to tax, penalties and interest thereon imposed by article ten of this chapter may be enforced against them as against the association or corporation which they represent.
Terms Used In West Virginia Code 11-15-17
- Association: means a partnership, limited partnership or any other form of unincorporated enterprise, owned or conducted by two or more persons. See West Virginia Code 11-22-1
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Corporation: means a corporation or joint-stock association, organized under the laws of this state, the United States or any other state, territory or foreign country or dependency including, but not limited to, banking institutions. See West Virginia Code 11-22-1
- Tax: includes all taxes, additions to tax, interest and penalties levied under this article or article ten of this chapter. See West Virginia Code 11-15-2
- Taxpayer: means any person liable for the tax imposed by this article or additions to tax, penalties and interest imposed by article ten of this chapter. See West Virginia Code 11-15-2
